Position Summary: We are seeking a part time time Seafood Team Member in our Seafood Department. The Seafood Team Member will be responsible for ensuring food safety compliance, knowledge of various seafoods and exceptional customer service. As a member of our team, the Seafood Clerk will play a key role in maintaining the quality, presentation, and cleanliness of the Seafood Shop at Littleton's Market.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; boxes up, labels, and dates cooked fish.
Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques, answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with Littleton’s Market cleanliness and safety standards.
Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
Dispose of waste properly and follow all sanitation and safety procedures
Work closely with other Seafood Team Members and department leadership to support smooth operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in a seafood department, grocery, or food service environment preferred
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper seafood handling practices
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75lbs
Available to work evening and closing shifts, including some weekends and holidays
Reliable transportation

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
