Role Overview
As our Front-of-House Shift Lead, you’ll oversee the dining room during your shift—stepping in when management is off-duty. You’ll lead by example, keep service smooth, and ensure every guest leaves smiling.
Core Responsibilities:
- Own the FOH during your shift: open/close, supervise, and support hosts, servers, and bussers
- Conduct pre-shift team briefings and post-shift wrap-ups
- Manage guest flow, reservations, waitlists, and seating logistics
- Take and resolve guest feedback and minor issues quickly and professionally
- Act as the point person for FOH operations in the absence of the GM or the Assistant Manager
- Train and mentor newer team members on service standards and POS systems
- Handle shift-level cash and financial closeouts accurately
- Maintain dining room cleanliness, ambiance, and readiness throughout service
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and BOH teams to keep orders flowing
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a shift lead, team captain, supervisor or similar in a casual/fast‑casual or Italian-style restaurant
- Strong command of front-of-house roles: host, server, expo, cash handling, etc.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Outstanding communication and a guest service mindset
- Reliable, professional, and flexible—able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable standing for long shifts and assisting with light physical tasks
- Food handler certification and Bassett certificate required

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
